Among the nine love languages, I say “It’s okay” to someone in need. I can do that,” the most impressive.
People usually say, “You’re doing great” or “You’re doing great” to people who are doing well, encouraging them even more. However, they fail to instill courage in those who are truly in need, and instead view them in a negative light.
The most essential words for such a person are: “It’s okay. I can do it.” I think this phrase plays a very important role.
Let’s take car racing as an example. Cars participating in a race do not just keep running from start to finish. Racing cars must pass through sections called “pits.” A pit is where cars are serviced and refueled.
Cars generate tremendous amounts of heat while driving, which can damage many parts. The pit is a very important space for inspecting and maintaining these areas. If there is no pit section, the high temperature while driving may damage or melt parts. Without the necessary maintenance and refueling, the event will end without the goal being reached.
“It’s okay. Even saying “I can do that” is like a pit section. If someone does not hear these words of comfort when they are hurt and need comfort, they may not be able to heal their wounds and may not be able to achieve their goals.
But he said, “It’s okay. Hearing the words, “I can do that,” no matter how badly it hurts, can give us the strength to stand up again. I believe that these words are essential to help us move forward once again.
I hope we can be like Pete, helping someone who is weary up again and giving them strength.
