After going fishing, our family caught 31 pounds of salmon. Since we had more than enough, we shared some with our neighbors. Proverbs 19:17 reminds us that when we are generous to those in need, God regards that kindness as something done for Him.
Sharing what we had was a small way to show love to those around us and build peaceful relationships with them. It also reflects “The Beginning of Peace: The Words of Mother’s Love.” We can practice Mother’s love by looking beyond ourselves, caring for those around us, and asking, “What can I share with the people around me?”
The salmon was something we caught, but the opportunity to share it was another blessing. Through small acts of kindness and generosity, we can share love, peace, and a sense of family with our neighbors. Even sharing a simple gift of food can plant a seed of love and peace.
