As the weather gets warmer these days, the alley in front of our house is becoming more and more stinky with the excrement of dogs and cats.
It was sometimes difficult to avoid when it was dark.
Then my son said he would do a good deed and went out to his house on his day off.
With a large shovel and broom, they began to remove the excrement.
After cleaning for about three days, my son came in with a package of cookies.
“Where did you come from?”
“The uncle who is working on the house next door is doing such a good deed. How can he be so special?” He said, and gave me some cookies.
As my individualism has grown and I’ve been doing less work or cleaning out my neighborhood, even small touches can make a big impact.
He thanked him for cleaning it up, and he said that he would also be grateful to eat the cookies.
Through good deeds, the words of Mother’s love seem to permeate warmly and completely.
Tomorrow, I’ll bring you a drink to thank Uncle for bringing him some sweets.
Let’s continue to give thanks and become a good neighbor.
