My two-and-a-half-year-old daughter is just learning to talk, but every day before I leave for work she says to me, "Mommy, hug me." When she sees me come home from work, she greets me, "Mommy, you're home!" Even when I make her formula, she happily says, "Thank you, Mommy." Every time I hear that, my heart is filled with warmth, and I've deeply realized the importance of loving language from my little one.
