In Nepal, April 4th was Mother's Day, a day to remember mothers.
It seems that it is not easy to express love to parents in Nepal. Love is in the heart, but it is difficult to express it. I had never said the words “thank you”, “I love you”, “I am sorry” to my mother. Even if I wanted to say it, it was always limited to my mind.
But on the day I remembered my mother, I mustered up the courage and called her. I asked her how she was doing and, remembering her mother's language of love, I said this.
“Mom, I love you. Thank you for giving birth to me. Thank you for loving me. And I’m sorry for hurting you unknowingly.”
Mom replied briefly, “Okay, thank you.” Even though she only said two words, I could feel the warmth and happiness contained within them.
I spoke to my mother in 'mother's love language'. I realized that expressing love through words brings happiness to the heart.
I am really happy today. ❤️❤️🤗🤗
