Every two weeks my colleagues and I gather together for a meeting with our Elementary and Secondary Directors. The meetings are often stressful as we discuss solutions to the most pressing issues across the school district.
I had planned to share Motherโs Words of Love & Peace campaign with all my colleagues that day and had prepared gift bags for each of them, including the Directors.
My Director in particular had a challenging legal issue to resolve and was visibly stressed and was using harsh words towards all of us at the meeting, although we had not been the origin of her stress.
At the end of the meeting, I was able to spend a few minutes sharing the website about Motherโs Words of Love and everyone smiled and thanked me for sharing encouraging words. The entire tone of the meeting changed and everyone left with smiles on their faces.
About an hour after the meeting, my director sent an email out to all of us apologizing for the way she had treated everyone and said she would make an effort to do better next time.
I give thanks to Father & Mother for teaching us Heavenly Manners. It felt like a miracle that my Directorโs hardened heart became soft enough to apologize. I look forward to more opportunities to be the messenger of good news to those around me.
