For about three months since last December, I made great efforts to practice the language of motherly love for my husband.
I used to visit the website daily to check in, and on the days I felt I didnโt take action, I wrote down in my notebooks the language of Motherโs love and 13 Teachings of Mother, and read them as I had spare time, trying to engrave them in my heart.
Then, one day, my husband and I went to the supermarket. As I was packing my bags at the supermarket , my husband approached me and asked, 'Can I help you?' This is what I was talking about. It was the first time I heard him say anything in ten years. At that moment, I thought, 'My husband spoke the words of a mother's love!' This made me think.
Since then, changes have continued. My usual lack of interest in Bible studies had hindered my conversations, but these days, they have started to listen and respond to my stories.
What have I learned while practicing Motherโs love for the past 100 days?
Just as seeds cannot be planted in ground that has hardened during winter, change can only begin when our hearts are warmed. Only by taking time to thaw with warmth, and by plowing the heart with a plow, will the best soil for planting seeds be created.
