The house beside ours had been empty for quite some time.
Recently, however, I noticed that an elderly woman and her family had moved in. I later found out that they had just transferred to the area.
One morning, as I was heading out, I greeted her out of respect, keeping Mother's words of love campaign in mind as well. “Good morning po, how are you?” I said.
She smiled warmly and replied, “Good morning! I’m okay, thank you.”
We then went our separate ways.
That afternoon, I was surprised when she called out to me with a bright smile and handed me some food she had prepared for my family and me.
“Please taste this,” she said. “It’s our specialty. It’s delicious — I made it for you!”
I was truly touched and so happy.
