Think about nine action items every day and make an effort to practice them.
When about a month passed
I realized that one of the nine things that we couldn’t put into practice was “Is there anything I can do to help?”
Since then, she has developed a habit of checking her surroundings, seeing if there is anything she can do to help.
Then, while walking into a restaurant for a family outing, . . .
An elderly man with a cane was trying to come down the stairs.
I wonder if the stairs were high ..😥 they needed help.
Without hesitation, I smiled and held out my hand to him.
With a big childlike smile, he took my hand and made my way down the stairs safely and lightly,
In doing so, I was able to practice “Is there anything I can help with?”
For some reason, a pleasant aftertaste lingered throughout the day.
